FSHN Lab Coat Laundry Services Procedure

Updated 8/31/09

  1. Label the size tag or collar of each lab coat to be cleaned with the primary investigator’s (PI’s) or major professor’s name using a sharpie or permanent marker and remove all items from the pockets.
  2. Obtain funding information with the PI or major professor to ensure costs of the cleaning will be covered. Document the fund account number; it will be required at the time the order is placed.
  3. Print and complete the “Aramark Laundry Services Form” and keep a copy for your records. You must label and keep track of how many lab coats you sent in the event of loss.
  4. Place all lab coats into a plastic bag and bring it and the Aramark Laundry Services Form to 220 MacKay Hall or 2312 Food Science Building.
  5. Please notify the main office staff that service is needed on your lab coats. Workers in either office will then contact Aramark for assistance using your completed Aramark Laundry Services Form.
  6. A courier will pick up the laundry from either 220 MacKay or 2312 Food Science Bldg and return it to the office in which the order was placed when completed. You will be notified when it is cleaned and ready to be picked up.

Questions- please call the offices at 294-9166 in Food Science Building or 294-4426 in Mackay Hall.
