Many faculty in FSHN participate in various on-campus activities that provide information on instrumental methods and assessment techniques, and give faculty the opportunity to engage in discussion with colleagues from various disciplines across campus. These activities include:

  • Workshops on communication sponsored by ISUComm and AgComm
  • Workshops, faculty presentations and on-going discussion groups on various aspects of teaching, learning, and assessment, sponsored by the ISU Center for Teaching Excellence
  • Workshops and on-going discussion groups as part of Project LEA/RN, a campus-wide project to "enhance professors' knowledge and skills related to teaching and learning to increase student learning."
  • Workshops and presentations on outcomes assessment, sponsored by the College of Agriculture and the College of Family and Consumer Sciences
