Many faculty
in FSHN participate in various on-campus activities that provide information
on instrumental methods and assessment techniques, and give faculty
the opportunity to engage in discussion with colleagues from various
disciplines across campus. These activities include:
- Workshops
on communication sponsored by ISUComm and AgComm
- Workshops,
faculty presentations and on-going discussion groups on various aspects
of teaching, learning, and assessment, sponsored by the ISU Center
for Teaching Excellence
- Workshops
and on-going discussion groups as part of Project LEA/RN, a campus-wide
project to "enhance professors' knowledge and skills related
to teaching and learning to increase student learning."
- Workshops
and presentations on outcomes assessment, sponsored by the College
of Agriculture and the College of Family and Consumer Sciences
