The ISU Student Dietetic Association (SDA) is dedicated to providing opportunities for leadership and professional development to student members interested in a career in the field of Dietetics.

Membership

Membership in the Student Dietetic Association is open to any Iowa State University student with an interest in the Dietetics profession.

Dues:
$5/semester or $10/year. Student membership with the American Dietetic Association is encouraged but not required for SDA members.

The current criteria to maintain an active membership status states that SDA members should achieve a minimum of 15 membership points per year. Points are awarded for meeting attendance, organizing an SDA event, participation in SDA events, and volunteer work outside of SDA.

Point Values:

  • Meeting attendance: 1 pt
  • Organizing an SDA event: 5 pts
  • Participating in an SDA event: 3 pts
  • Volunteer work outside of SDA: 2 pts
