ADA Scholarships
The American Dietetic Association (ADA) offers scholarships
for nutrition graduate students, dietetic internship students, and undergraduate
dietetics students who are ADA members. Information can be obtained

Undergraduate students should apply for the Baccalaureate (Didactic
or Coordinated Program) Scholarships by February 15.
American Association of Candy Technologists
The National Candy Technologists Scholarship Program awards scholarships to undergraduate food science students who are sophomore, junior or senior status and have demonstrated interest in confectionery technology, which can include many activities such as research projects, work experience, and/or formal study. American Association of Cereal Chemists
The AACC International Foundation provides undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships to students excelling in studies relevant to grain-based food science and technology. Applicants must be majoring in a program of courses and/or participating in research that would normally lead to a career in cereal chemistry and technology, or have taken available courses and otherwise demonstrated interest in such a career. IDA Scholarships

IFT Scholarships
The Institute of Food Technologists offers over $50,000 in graduate fellowships and scholarships. Please go to http://www.ift.org/cms/?pid=1001243 to find out how to apply. The deadline for getting your application materials to Dr MacDonald, FSHN department chair, is Feburary 1. These are very prestigious awards, both to you and to Iowa State University.
IFT has scholarships for freshman/sophomores and for junior/seniors. Information for applying for the scholarship is at http://www.ift.org/cms/?pid=1000438 and are due with Dr. MacDonald, FSHN department chair on February 1.
The Iowa Section-IFT Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship ($500) and the Iowa Section-IFT Outstanding Graduate Scholarship ($500) are sponsored by the Iowa-IFT Section. These scholarships are awarded to an undergraduate and a graduate student who has demonstrated participation and leadership within the Iowa Section of IFT. The Iowa Food Industry Scholarship ($1000) is sponsored by several Iowa food-related companies. This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student who has been involved with the food industry through research, internships or other activities.
